Atlanta metal standard-bearers (and recent Revolver magazine cover stars) Mastodon have released their highly anticipated new EP, Cold Dark Place. In addition to the previously-shared single "Toe to Toes," which was written during sessions for the group's latest album, Emperor of Sand, the release also includes three holdovers dating back to the Once More 'Round the Sun era: "North Side Star," "Blue Walsh" and the title track. For a closer look at how Mastodon's latest effort came together, be sure to check out Revolver's "Toe to Toes" in-studio performance video below, as well as our behind-the-scenes mini-doc detailing the making of Cold Dark Place's stunning cover art.
