Tool guitarist and visual mastermind Adam Jones made his podcast debut on pro wrestler and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho's show Talk Is Jericho, and the two delved into a wide range of topics across a lively, hour-plus conversation. Jones shared fascinating stories about the early days of Tool and opened up about the band's beyond-highly-anticipated new studio album Fear Inoculum — the group's first in 13 years. He discussed his guitar playing style and approach, his love of wrestling, his special effects in film, Green Jellö, roller derby, horror movies and more. Jones also talked about the first time he met Tool singer Maynard James Keenan, how they convinced drummer Danny Carey to join the band, and what it was like for the guitarist growing up in Libertyville, Illinois, with childhood friend Tom Morello, later of Rage Against the Machine, of course. As it turns out, Morello's mother was Jones' homeroom teacher! Listen to the full interview below.
