TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan recently earned a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. What's cooler than that? Bragging rights that he trains at the same academy as Mike Tyson.
The former unified world heavyweight champion boxer has come out of retirement to prepare for a controversial fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, which is going down later this summer and being broadcast on Netflix.
As it turns out, the 57-year-old Tyson is training for the match at Verde Valley BJJ, the martial arts school in Cottonwood, Arizona, that Keenan co-founded.
Over the weekend, the alt-metal star posted a couple photos on Instagram of him hanging with the former WBA, WBC and IBF belt holder himself.
"Honored to have Mike Tyson grace our small town academy, Verde Valley BJJ," Keenan wrote. "His Training Camp for Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson began under our roof.
"Gonna be bragging about that for a bit. Long after y'all are tired of hearing about it. Deal with it."
