Rolling Stone magazine have unveiled their list of the 15 best metal albums of 2022. Last year, the so-called arbiters of the rock canon incensed metalheads by only including six metal songs in their list of the 500 greatest songs in music history, but below you can see what they came up with for the last 12 month's finest heavy opuses.
It's not a bad list all in all, spanning from underground firebrands like Blackbraid and Chat Pile to aboveground genre leaders including Slipknot and Lamb of God. In particular, it's great to see Revolver favorites Soul Glo take the top spot.
