Evanescence have been a headlining force in heavy music for 20 years now, but their pop-metal sound is perhaps more influential on today's rising stars than ever before.

With that in mind, we asked Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee to pick her favorite young band who are carrying the torch for heavy music now and into the future.

We already know Lee has a soft spot for Sleep Token and Spiritbox, so for this exercise, she ended up showing some love to a different band who've been around for a minute now, but, like Evanescence, have maintained a cutting-edge sound throughout their many evolutions.

Bring Me the Horizon

Well, they're not too young, but kind of. I really love Bring Me the Horizon. They think young. They're very innovative.

I feel like [their music is] completely heavy, but it also has so much beautiful, tasteful pop influence. Which is so my jam.

The melodies and the electronics and everything are so hooky. l really, really like that band a lot.
