On February 13th, Corrosion of Conformity took their Revolver-sponsored tour behind 2018's excellent No Cross No Crown to New York City's Gramercy Theatre, bringing with them fellow Southern stoner/sludge titans Crowbar. COC's Pepper Keenan and Crowbar's Kirk Windstein go way back, of course, playing together for many years alongside Phil Anselmo and Eyehategod's Jimmy Bower in NOLA supergroup Down. Weedeater and Mothership opened the festivities, but it was the two main bands that stole the show, delivering career-spanning sets of alternately anguished and rollicking riffage and roaring. Photographer Nathaniel Shannon was there to capture all the grizzled action — check out his badass black-and-white pics below.
