Marilyn Manson, who appears on the cover of the current issue of Revolver magazine and is performing at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards this year, premiered the lead single, "No Reflection," from his forthcoming album, Born Villain, on a Los Angeles radio station yesterday. The record hits stores in the U.S. on May 1. Check the song out, read along with the lyrics below the video, and let us know what you think.

Crushing, cheating, changing.
Am I deaf or dead?
Is this constricting construction
Or just streets with rusty signs
Of something violent coming?
This'll hurt you worse than me.
I'm weak, seven days, I'm weak.
Don't run from me. I won't
Bother counting one, two, three...
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
Show myself how to make a noose
A gun's cliche, and a razor too
I'm not a deathshare vacation, vacant station
Made of scars and filled with my old wounds
This'll hurt you worse than me.
I'm weak, seven days, I'm weak.
Don't run from me. I won't
Bother counting one, two, three...
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you.
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you.
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you.
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you.
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
I don't know which me that I love.
Got no reflection.
No Reflection.
No Reflection.
I've got no reflection.

Noisy hard rockers the Melvins have been busy lately. Not only are they releasing a new album as a three-piece (under the name Melvins Lite) titled Freak Puke in June, but their standard quartet lineup is putting out an EP, Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & the Bees, which will be downloadable for free on March 13 on ScionAV.com. You can get a taste of that release below with the premiere of the song, "We Are Doomed."

Of the song, vocalist-guitarist Buzz Osborne says, "The title of the song  "We are Doomed" pretty much says it all... Cool and classy!"

British hard rockers Starseed are releasing their U.S. debut, Peace Machine, on Tuesday. Below you can get your first taste of the album by listening to the song "See Through Your Lies." Vocalist-drummer Andy Spence fills us in on the track below the song. Let us know what you think of it in the comments.

REVOLVER What's this song about?
ANDY SPENCE This song is about someone who takes advantage of someone else's good will and love. It's about hurting those who you love and who love you, the people closest to you. It's about lies and deceit but also forgiveness.

Which part of it did you come up with first?
Gerald [Gill, guitar and vocals] came up with the intro riff first and then eventually the verse and chorus progressions. It's partly based on a bad experience he had with someone he loved.

Was this an easy song to write?
It was definitely quite an easy one, because I don't think we had to put much thought into it, it just flowed once we got going.

What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far?

This song has probably been most people's favorite track off the album and I think we've played at every gig! Always gets a good response.

Melodic death metallers Nothnegal, who hail from Maldives, off the coast of India, are released their second album, Decadence, last month. Of the album, guitarist Hilarl says, "Decadence is based on a post apocalyptic story that [vocalist–lead guitarist] Fufu  came up with, where there is no land left due to the sea level rise so artificial islands are built and everyone (not all of them) are moved to these islands. The humans begin to depend more and more on the machines, the machines become more intelligent by the day and finally they go against the humans. A war takes places between both races. The machines take power and enslave the humans. A small group of humans escape and they are the last hope for the human race."

Below you can get a taste of the album with the song, "Sins of Our Creations."  Hilarl fills us in on the song below. Also, click here for your chance to win a guitar from the band and to get tablature for the song.

REVOLVER What's this song about?
HILARL It's part of the conceptual story the album is based on. The song is about the maker of the machines whose idea is to save mankind, it's basically about his regrets.

What inspired you to write it?
Several science-fiction movies we've been watching and novels we've been reading.

What was the hardest part about writing it?
The hardest part would be having to rewrite the entire song because of a part that needs to be added or removed just to make sure the parts fit the song.

What kind of feedback have you gotten on it so far?
It's better than we hoped for, we are fairly new and we were expecting just pointers to make a better album.

West Coast hard-rock outfit Modern Day Escape are releasing their sophomore album, Under the Gun, on March 27. In anticipation, they're streaming a new track, titled "The Syndicate," exclusively here. Check it out below, read what frontman James Vegas has to say about the song, and let us know what you think in the comments.

REVOLVER What's "The Syndicate" about?
JAMES VEGAS "The Syndicate" is about us and our amazing fans. They're so supportive and badass. They will do anything to come to our shows, and we will do anything for them. Our fans are like us, outcasts like [in] The Goonies or The Lost Boys. I've had so many kids tell me that they got beat up or picked on for being a "freak," having tattoos, being pierced, having colored hair, or listening to rock and roll too loud while hanging at the mall or just being a bunch of ruffians. "You fuck with one of us, you fuck with all of us... We are the syndicate."

Which part of it did you come up with first? And what was the inspiration?
I think it was the chorus I came up with first. I just started humming it and it was so groovy I recorded myself singing it on my iPhone in [guitarist] Marti Rubels' backyard. The guys just happened to be in our rehearsal spot writing the music to "The Syndicate" and it all kinda fell into place. When I walked in and grabbed the mic, I just vibed with them and it came to fruition. It's like it was meant to be. As for the inspiration of the song, our fans were, to be honest. We want a safe haven via our music for our fans to "escape" to where they can be themselves and not have to worry about anything other than having a good time with other fans and friends. We don't want them to dress up or wear makeup. We're not superheroes. We're regular people just like them, and we want them to know that we all have there back.

Was this an easy song to write or record?
Yes, it was a fairly easy song to record. It was more fun than anything because we had our friends from other native Cali bands—Fake Figures, Atreyu, Franki Doll & the Broken Toys—come out and do some gang vocals for the song, so it was fun.

What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far? What sort of reaction do you want to get from the song?
Everyone loves the song so much. The drums and the bass in the song just keep it moving. We have only played it a few times live so far, and we haven't seen a single head that wasn't rocking back and forth.

CannibalCorpse_brick2_Main-Promo_byAlexMorgan_1.jpg

Death-metal legends Cannibal Corpse are releasing their 12th album, Torture, on March 13 (available for preorder here). You can be the first to hear the third song on that disc, "Scourge of Iron," below.

Comments bassist Alex Webster of the new tune: "'Scourge of Iron' helps to show the song writing diversity on Torture. [First album single] 'Demented Aggression' is blazing fast and frantic, while 'Scourge…' is a down tempo, pounding song. They're both death metal, but at opposite ends of the speed spectrum. Expect to hear this kind of variety throughout Torture. We've utilized many different tempos, rhythms, and feels in these songs with the goal of making an album that is varied and dynamic but also very brutal. On March 13th you'll get to decide whether or not we succeeded."
