A rough-mix version of another previously unreleased Metallica song, "Hell and Back," from the Death Magnetic recording sessions has hit the internet. Earlier in the week, the tracks "Hate Train" and "Just a Bullet Away"  from the same sessions were released online.

"We're pretty excited to be bringing these songs back to life nearly four years after they were recorded," the band commented. "Once again, this is the unpolished version of the song… the original rough mix from March of 2008 in its rawest, untouched form."

"Hell and Back" Lyrics:

There is nowhere else I can run to
She is wretched but she comforts me

After everyone goes home
She's always there for me

And when the sun goes hellbound
And the moon does resurrect the night
I'll hide within her
Not much good has come out the light

After everyone goes home
And I'm left here on my own
I will run straight to Hell and back

Straight to Hell and back

When they turn out all their lights
And I'm left to brood at night
Always return to Hell and back

Straight to Hell and back
Straight down yeah

A lonely light in a window
Just longing for some company

Tragic, heartless and hateful
But there's nothing as willing as she

And when the night has fallen
It falls hard and then it all begins

When she starts her calling
I feel my darkness growing from within

After everyone goes home
And I'm left here on my own
I will run straight to Hell and back

Straight to Hell and back

When they turn out all their lights
And I'm left to brood at night
Always return to Hell and back

Straight to Hell and back
Straight to Hell and back
I will run straight to Hell and back

I become two
We become one
Unbridled... unequaled... unholy... undone

The path is cut deep
The path is worn well
I'll follow my footsteps to the warmth of Hell

The warmth of Hell

After everyone goes home
And I'm left here on my own
I will run straight to Hell and back

Straight to Hell and back
Straight to Hell and back

When they turn out all their lights
And I'm left to brood at night
Always return to Hell and back

Return to Hell and back
Straight to Hell and back
Straight to Hell and back
I will run straight to Hell and back

Straight down

Hard rockers Evans Blue will release their highly anticipated as-yet-untitled fourth album early next year. In anticipation, they're unleashing a new song from the record, "Halo," right here right now. The track will be available on iTunes on Tuesday. Check it out below, read what vocalist Dan Chandler has to say about the song, and let us know what you think in the comments.

REVOLVER What's "Halo" about?
DAN CHANDLER The song was written about a moment in my life when I felt things/people were being taken from me without reason. Something a lot of us have unfortunately had to deal with.

Which part of it did you come up with first? And what was the inspiration?
Parker [Lauzon, guitar] sent me the music when I was going through a hard time. Many questions. When you lose something important to you, it's almost like you can't stop your mind from revisiting the past.

Was this an easy song to write or record?
The song came to me quick because of the mood I had been in. It was a very medicinal writing for me.

What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far?
This song has only been exposed to family and close friends so far. The song is personal and people close to me know me well, so they immediately understood what the song had to say. Definitely have had an overwhelming positive response.

A rough-mix version of another previously released Metallica song, "Just A Bullet Away," from the Death Magnetic recording sessions has hit the internet. Earlier in the week, the track "Hate Train," from the same sessions, was released online. You can hear it here.

"We're pretty excited to be bringing these songs back to life nearly four years after they were recorded," the band commented. "Once again, this is the unpolished version of the song... the original rough mix from March of 2008 in its rawest, untouched form."

"Just A Bullet Away" lyrics:

All roads they lead to shame
All drowning in the blame
All reflections look the same
In the shine of the midnight revolver

All hide beneath a skin
A hope so paper thin
I'm at the door again
And the shine of the midnight revolver

Even the promise of danger has gone dull
Staring down the barrel of a 45

Suck on the barrel
Suck on the barrel
Suck it 'til it's gone dry

For all reflections look the same
In the shine of the midnight revolver

Redemption purify
Will nothing satisfy
The scars just multiply
In the shine of the midnight revolver

Twisting in apocalypse
Death upon the fingertips
Frigid metal touches lips
And the shine of the midnight revolver

'Cause you lied

Just a bullet away
Just a bullet away from leavin' you
Just a bullet away
Stop the voices in my head

Caressing death again
Becomes the heroin
Forbidden medicine
Puts a shine on the midnight revolver

Eternal borderline
All the faces intertwine
Oh God... now I see mine
In the shine of the midnight revolver

Even the promise of danger has gone dull
Staring down the barrel of a 45

Suck on the barrel
Suck on the barrel
Suck... suck till it's dry

For all reflections look the same
In the shine of the midnight revolver

Down In Misery
Down In Misery

Just a bullet away
Just a bullet away from leavin' you
Just a bullet away
Stop the voices in my head

All roads they lead to shame
All drowning in the blame
Reflections look the same
In the shine of the midnight revolver

All hide beneath a skin
A hope so paper thin
I'm at the door again
And the shine of the midnight revolver

Even the promise of danger has gone dull
Staring down the barrel of a 45

Suck on the barrel
Suck on the barrel
Suck... suck till it's dry

Do all reflections look the same
In the shine of the midnight revolver

'Cause you lied
Yes you lied

Just a bullet away
Just a bullet away from leavin' you
Just a bullet away
Stop the voices in my head

Last night Metallica performed a previously unreleased song from the Death Magnetic sessions called "Hate Train" at the first of four intimate fan-club-members-only shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco as part of the week-long celebration of its 30th anniversary.

A rough-mix version of the studio recording of "Hate Train" has since been e-mailed to members of Metallica's official fan club and can now be streamed below.

"Hate Train" lyrics:

Hate is a train
That thunders aimless through my head
And hate is the fame
Chained to the wheel until I'm dead

Rage is a flame
Creates a touch to boil the seas
And rage is to blame
Forever sorry I shall be

And from a darkness I descend
Clenching a torch of sweet revenge

You took away tomorrow, still I stand
I ride into the sorrow, still I stand
You took away tomorrow, still I stand
Straight down into the sorrow, but still I stand

Wrath is the name
Branding suffer onto you
And wrath takes the shame
And holds me down until its through

And from a darkness I descend
Clenching a torch of sweet revenge

You took away tomorrow, still I stand
I ride into the sorrow, still I stand
You took away tomorrow, still I stand
I sink into the sorrow, but still I stand

And hate is a train
A beast awakened by your call
And hate is a train
A beast that never slows at all

And from a darkness I descend
Clenching a torch of sweet revenge
Burst into flame, the bitter end
And shake the gates of hell again

I'm left to drown in sorrow…

You took away tomorrow, still I stand
I ride into the sorrow, still I stand
You took away tomorrow, still I stand
You left me here with sorrow, still I stand

British metalcore group Enter Shikari are releasing their new album, A Flash Flood of Colour, on January 10. Below, you can hear the U.S. exclusive premiere of the song "Gandhi Mate, Gandhi" from that record. Vocalist and keyboardist Roughton "Rou" Reynolds fills us in on the song below the Soundcloud. Let us know what you think of the song in the comments.

REVOLVER What's this song about?
ROUGHTON "ROU" REYNOLDS
The song starts with a rant that attempts to sum up the state of the world and describe the breadth of the destructive paradigm we currently live in 30 seconds. It then weaves in and out of satire and and various characters and emotions. It's a very frustrated and confused song, and reflects the general zeitgeist at the moment; people know we have the resources, the creativity, and the ingenuity to do better than what we have at the moment and are struggling to come to terms with the short term love of money over the long-term stability and progression of our species.

Which part of it did you come up with first?
The piece began life as a tune for my electronic side project, Rout, and was a lively electro influenced dubstep track that I made in late 2008. I always had ideas to expand the track and add lyrics, and as I did, it seemed to transform into an even more furious beast, which then brought forth the exciting possibility of it becoming an Enter Shikari track.

Was this an easy song to write or record?
It was probably one of the most difficult to write and record. Fitting guitars around the bouncy synths while keeping the movement in the sub region proved quite difficult. Lyrically, it was just real good fun to write and record as it really is just a playful venting of frustrations and back-and-forths between characters in the song. The outro is probably one of the most ridiculous things we've ever created and was so much fun to make. We cannot wait to play this one live. I'm sure the outro will completely destroy speakers up and down the country; we spent a good long while sculpting the sub, which is daringly low on this track, to do just that!

What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far?
It's certainly a bewildering track upon first listen…and probably the next five listens, too. It takes about that many to get to grips with it. [Laughs] But most of our friends who we've played it to have just been generally gobsmacked, which is always a great visual emotion to provoke in someone.

Italian post-hardcore outfit Hopes Die Last are releasing their second album, Trust No One, on February 14. In anticipation, the band is unleashing the lead single from the record, "Sidney Shown," right here right now. Crank it below, read what guitarist Marco Mantovani has to say about the track, and let us know what you think in the comments!

REVOLVER What's "Sidney Shown" about?
MARCO MANTOVANI The song actually doesn't mean anything. The title as well—we just liked the sound of "Sidney Shown."

Which part of it did you come up with first?
The very beginning of the song came first—we wanted it to be "hysteric" and "stormy."

Was this an easy song to write or record?
It wasn't very easy, as this was the first song that we wrote for the album, Trust No One. In the beginning, you never really know where to go exactly. This song kept changing over and over again while we were writing the other songs on the album.

What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far?
This is actually the first place people get to hear it outside of our inner circle and label, but those who've had the opportunity are really excited!
