Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has kicked off 2024 with some surprising and unsettling news. The singer, who turned 50 on December 8th, announced the cancelation of his North American solo tour, which was scheduled to kick off in Toronto on February 3rd.

Taylor cited his mental and physical health, which he said "have been breaking down." "I reached a place that was unhealthy for my family and I," he wrote in a statement released on social media. "I know this decision will come as a shock to some and may be regarded as unpopular by others — but after taking a hard look at where I am and where I was going, I need to pull myself back and be home with my family for the time being."

Taylor released CMF2, his second solo album, back in September. His main band, Slipknot, are set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album later this year.
