DEFTONES side project CROSSES: Hear new "Machinedrum Remix" of "Day One"

'PERMANENT.RADIANT' song gets reimagined

Late last year, Crosses — the electronic-rock project of Deftones' Chino Moreno and Far's Shaun Lopez — released their stellar, six-track PERMANENT.RADIANT EP, and promised more material on the way soon.

Today (May 19th), the duo offered up a tasty new morsel: a skittering, hypnotic "Machinedrum Remix" of PERMANENT.RADIANT's fourth cut, "Day One," along with a characteristically hallucinogenic video. Watch and listen above.

Consider it a small taste of much bigger things to come. As Moreno and Lopez revealed in a December interview with Revolver, there's a lot more music in the pipeline, including what they claim is their heaviest song yet. The two also said that they plan to play shows in 2023 — which would be Crosses' first live performances in nine years. Stay tuned.
