At this point, Ghost are one of the biggest heavy bands in the world, but Tobias Forge still keeps his ears to the underground.

In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Forge was asked to pick his favorite young metal band of the moment, and he ended up going with a group who are way heavier than Ghost.

Forge gave props to Crypta, the Brazillian death-metal band who just released their crushing new album, Shades of Sorrow, via Napalm Records. Here's what the Ghost mastermind had to say about them.

Crypta

Crypta blow my mind. They're a cool combination of death metal and black-metal, but still super decipherable. Where you can sing everything she [Fernanda Lira] sings.

They're fantastic and I wish them the very best.
