Hear CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's new re-recorded version of SEPULTURA's "Morbid Visions"

Max and Iggor revisit their earliest roots

Last month, Sepultura founding siblings, Max and Iggor Cavalera, revealed that they had re-recorded the group's first two offerings, 1985's Bestial Devastation EP and 1986's Morbid Visions LP, and signed to Nuclear Blast for the re-releases, which also feature updated artwork. Today (May 12th) the duo — who go by the band name Cavalera Conspiracy — have offered up their new version of Morbid Visions's title cut, and of course, it fucking rips. Blast it above.

In addition to the re-recorded tracks, the new version of the album — which is due out July 14th — also features a previously unreleased song "Burn the Dead," written during the Morbid Visions era. A similarly revamped edition of Sepultura's 1989 classic Beneath the Remains is set to follow through Nuclear Blast, with a bonus track titled "Sexta Feira 13."

"As we get harder year after year," Max commented of revisiting Sepultura's early material, "sometimes you've got to go back to where it all started!"
