See THREAT SIGNAL singer throw down in COMBUSTION 96's new "On the Line" video

Initially the one-man project of guitarist Niklas Rubensson, Combustion 96 are now a full-fledged band featuring Threat Signal's singer Jon Howard, as well as current and former members of Warbringer, ONI, Bruce Dickinson's solo project and more.

Today, Combustion 96 have teamed with Revolver to premiere the new music video for their 2023 single "On the Line," which Swedish metal vet Peter Iwers (The Halo Effect, In Flames) described as "energetic old-school thrash à la Bay Area, combined with a modern twist and a very catchy chorus."

Howard commented: "When I first heard this song, I knew it had to start with some intense screaming combined with very strong lyrical content. And let's be honest, the world has been providing a lot of inspiration to that lately. But amongst the heavy chaos and anarchy of this song, there is an uplifting melodic chorus that offers hope.

"With this song I didn't want to throw down all the negativity without shedding light on a solution and some positivity."

Combustion 96's next single, "Lost in the Dark," is set for release this spring. Throughout 2024, the band plans to tour, release new music and collaborate with other established musicians.
