Hear Doom-Rock Act Lucifer's Smoldering New Song "California Son"

Opening cut off trio's upcoming 'Lucifer II' album arrives with vintage biker gang–themed music video

Stockholm-via-Berlin doom-rock legion Lucifer recently announced their second full-length, Lucifer II. The follow-up to 2016's Lucifer I — due out July 6th via new label home Century Media Records — marks band's first release to feature new guitarist and songwriter Nicke Andersson of Entombed and Hellacopters fame.

After debuting the album's doomy first single "Faux Pharaoh" back in December, the trio have unveiled "California Son," a smoldering slab of old-school hard rock which serves as Lucifer II's opener. The heavy-rock ripper lands alongside a kitschy new visual directed by Johanna Sadonis and Emil Klinta, which sees the band riding vintage motorbikes through the scenic California back roads (or, striking majestic poses on motorcycles in front of a green screen).

"California Son" will be released tomorrow (May 4th) as a digital single, as well as a 7-inch backed with a cover of Scorpions' "Evening Wind." Pre-order that release here, and stay tuned for more details regarding the upcoming LP.
