Metalcore stalwarts Silent Planet are back with a new record, and it's a particularly meaningful one. Superbloom, the California band's first LP since 2021's Iridescent, arrives on November 3rd — exactly one year after the band were involved in a horrific van accident that all four members miraculously walked away from alive and well.

The devastating event had a direct impact on the recording process of Superbloom, which is otherwise inspired by the mystical region of Humboldt County, CA, where paranormal activity has long been rumored to occur.

Today (August 23rd), the band are previewing this ambitious new record with "Collider," a bold new song that follows their djent-pop knockokut "Antimatter" from back in July. Listen to "Collider" above via YouTube.

"['Collider' is] about what comes out of our lives when the people we trust and hold closest are the ones who can hurt or betray us the worst," frontman Garrett Russell said in a press release. "We don't have to run from the pain or be afraid. The dark gives us the energy to make something beautiful. The song is about alchemizing the darkness and transforming its negative properties."

Superbloom is now available for pre-order in a variety of options, including Revolver's exclusive "aqua blue" vinyl variant, which is limited to only 300 copies worldwide. Get your copy from our shop before they're all sold out.
