Meldodic hardcore vets Stretch Arm Strong reunited in 2020 and have been somewhat active since, playing high-profile sets at Furnace Fest and re-issuing their long-out-of-press back catalog. Now, they're returning with their first new music in nearly 20 years!

Today (March 8th), the South Carolina punks have announced The Revealing, a brand new six-song EP marking their first release since 2005's Free at Last. It's out later this spring, and they're previewing it with a single called "Illuminating."

It's fast, angry, and anthemic in the way Stretch Arm Strong have always been. Listen above via YouTube.

"We all have a brilliant light inside of us," the band wrote of "Illuminating." "Our light can seem inadequate and dim in times of darkness and struggle. We may need another person to shine their light on us so that we can see a path forward. Sometimes, we can be the one to shine the light for others.

"'Illuminating' was inspired by a story that was shared with us about a friend helping another friend see their own light."

The Revealing also boasts a feature from Sick of it All frontman Lou Koller on a track, and the full thing arrives May 10th via Iodine Recordings.
