Cali post-hardcore crew Dayseeker have unveiled a surprise cover of the classic Evanescence ballad "My Immortal."
The intimate performance will be included on Dayseeker's upcoming acoustic album, Replica, which features stripped-down versions of several of their fan-favorite songs.
Fittingly, the band have delivered a tender and emotional rendition of "My Immortal," one of the standout on Amy Lee and Co.'s 2003 debut Fallen.
"'My Immortal' is a song I've loved dearly since I first heard it in high school," Dayseeker singer Rory Rodriguez said in a press statement.
"I truly always wanted to cover it but the timing didn't feel right until we started this album. It's easily my favorite cover we've ever done."
