Yesterday (July 10th), Ozzy Osbourne bowed out of his performance at this year's inaugural PowerTrip festival, which still features the stacked lineup of Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, TOOL and Iron Maiden. Today, his replacement was revealed: the mighty Judas Priest.

"The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly," Ozzy noted in his statement yesterday, which pointed to his ongoing health issues as the reason for the cancelation. "They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed."

Many fans speculated that Priest might fit the bill, and indeed they have.

"Power Trippers are you ready for some Judas Priest-style heavy metal!" the band commented in a joint statement. "We are excited and ready to raise double horns way up high together. Keeping the metal faith at this bostin one of a kind Power Trip world event!"

PowerTrip is scheduled to go down the weekend of October 6th-8th in Indio, California — the same location as the annual pop, rap and indie music retreat Coachella.
