LINKIN PARK: Hear MIKE SHINODA's catchy new solo song "In My Head"

Another contribution to the 'Scream VI' soundtrack

Linkin Park co-vocalist Mike Shinoda was pretty involved in the soundtrack for Scream VI. Last week, popstar-turned-pop-punker Demi Lovato shared her soundtrack contribution, "Still Alive," which was co-written and co-produced by Shinoda, and the second-gen nu-metal star even appeared in its accompany music video. Today, Shinoda has released his very own solo song from the horror score, a pulsing electronic-rock tune called "In My Head" that features vocalist Kailee Morgue.

"I love that this moment is both a look backward and a look forward," Shinoda said of this point in his career. "Releasing an anniversary retrospective of [Linkin Park's] Meteora and brand-new music at the same time. My whole career, I've jumped from Linkin Park to solo stuff to working with others, and it feels great to dive back into that rhythm. Plus, having both 'In My Head' and Demi Lovato's 'Still Alive' in the new Scream VI film is a huge thrill."
