Rage Against the Machine have played many heroic shows, but last night's, at Chicago's United Center, will go down in history. On just the second stop of their massive "Public Service Announcement" reunion tour — marking the rap-metal firebrands' first live performances in 11 years — vocalist Zack de la Rocha injured his leg early in the concert, during the fourth song, "Bullet in the Head."
But that wasn't going to stop him. "We're gonna keep this fucking shit going. I can crawl across this stage," he told the crowd. "We're gonna play for you all tonight." He ended up completing the rest of the 16-song set, which included the tour debut of "Down Rodeo," seated on an onstage monitor and had to be carried off at the end.
"Zack de la Rocha just gave a better performance while sitting than most artists give on their two feet," declared one fan on Twitter. Photographer Justin Mohlman was there to immortalize the night — see some of his standout shots below.
