See Hilarious All-Star Christmas Parody of Slayer's "South of Heaven"

Featuring members of Protest the Hero, Dream Theater and more

Last year, a holiday-themed metal supergroup called Sleigher reared their Santa-hat-capped heads with a most excellent Christmas parody of "Seasons in the Abyss." This year, they're back with a new lineup and a new Slayer sendup, this one a yuletide spin on "South of Heaven," which the all-star band has flipped into "South of Lapland (Santa's Gory Yuletide)." Watch and listen above.

Among the participants are Protest the Hero's Rody Walker, Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess, Inhuman Condition's Jeramie Kling and the group's ringleader, Charlie Griffith of Haken.

"It's Sleigher the sequel!" the band commented in a joint statement. "Members of Haken, Dream Theater, Protest the Hero, Inhuman Condition have once again ventured South of Lapland. Joining the expedition are Becky from Fury (and recently of Mercyful Fate live!) and the mysterious Delta Empire on drums. This time… it's Judgment Sleigh!"
