Metallica will be the first major rock band to release American Sign Language (ASL) interpretations for every song on their new album. The thrash legends have partnered with ASL interpreting company Amber G Productions and the Deaf Professional Arts Network to make it all happen.

Metallica's ASL announcement for 72 Seasons was made by Tom Osbourne, a hardcore Metallica fan who also happens to be deaf. "It's my honor to announce on April 25th, Metallica will release all music videos from 72 Seasons in ASL," Osbourne revealed. "Metallica is the first major rock band to do this!"

"It's been an honor to work with Amber and DPAN teams," Metallica added. "And we hope that our fans in the deaf and hard of hearing community enjoy experiencing the album through these videos!"

The first track to get its official ASL Interpretation is "72 Seasons." ASL interpreter Amber Galloway (of Amber G Productions) lent her talents to the music video, where she energetically signs James Hetfield's lyrics and even nails Kirk Hammett's guitar solo. Check it out in the video above.
