See MINISTRY debut new song "Goddamn White Trash" live, announce next album

Uncle Al says 'Hopium for the Masses' LP is due this summer

Ministry celebrated 4/20 in style, by launching their headlining Moral Hygiene Tour with Gary Numan and debuting a totally new song, "Goddamn White Trash," at the kickoff show. Said concert took place at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, and said new song has a Rob Zombie-ish Southern-fried groove to it while lyrically pulling no punches in Al Jourgensen's characteristic fashion. Watch fan-filmed footage of the performance above.

The Ministry bandleader intro'd the song by breaking the news of his band's previously unannounced impending album, which according to Uncle Al, is titled Hopium for the Masses and due out this August. The group have continued to play "Goddamn White Trash" on the two tour dates since the kickoff.

In addition to Numan, Ministry's current headline run also features support from fellow industrial pioneers Front Line Assembly. The trek is set to run right up to the band's appearance at the much-hyped nu-metal festival Sick New World in Las Vegas on May 13th.
