See QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's striking new video for "Carnavoyeur"

A matador faces off with the Grim Reaper

Queens of the Stone Age's highly anticipated new album, In Times New Roman… — the band's first in six years — is right around the corner. In the lead up, today (June 13th), Josh Homme and Co. unveiled the striking music video for the LP's second single, "Carnavoyeur." Watch above.

Like the previously released visual for In Times New Roman… lead single "Emotion Sickness," the latest clip was directed by Sifl and Olly co-creator Liam Lynch, whose resume boasts clips for Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Royal Blood and others. He also stars as both characters: a masked matador and the Grim Reaper himself, who face off during the video's climax.

Presented in striking black and white and red — Sin City-style — the clip notably features an appearance from Homme, who croons the song, cast in dramatic chiaroscuro.

In Times New Roman… is due out June 16th via Matador. You can order Revolver's new Queens of the Stone Age cover issue and limited-edition colored vinyl at our shop.
