Masked, anonymous alt-metal phenoms Sleep Token are so notoriously press-shy that singer-songwriter Vessel hasn't done an interview in over five years. That said, in late 2023, the band's drummer, who goes by the pseudonym II, broke form by doing an in-depth interview with Drumeo where he opened up about his experience in Sleep Token.
Today, Drumeo offered up another segment from that session — which finds II breaking down his virtuosic playing on Sleep Token's viral smash "The Summoning," which currently has over 100 million streams on Spotify.

II had identified the Take Me Back to Eden standout as one of his favorite Sleep Token songs to play.
"I enjoy playing a track called 'The Summoning,'" he said, "due to the live addition of a drum solo that gives me a little more creative freedom, as well as its challenging feel."
