Slayer put the finishing touch on their farewell Final Campaign tour on November 30th when the monstrous 18-month trek had its last stop at The Forum in Inglewood, California. In tow for the thrash icons' finale was the impressive supporting lineup of Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals (performing a set of Pantera classics), Ministry (pulling out an eight-song set of fan favorites including the 10000 Homo DJs cover of "Supernaut"), and funk-metal weirdos Primus in the prime opening spot just before the main event.
Along with an arena packed with die-hard locals, plenty of celebrity friends and fans showed up to give a warm-hearted send-off to Slayer — from Aquaman star Jason Momoa (who joined Anselmo onstage for an impassioned performance of Pantera's "This Love" ) to Metallica's Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett to metal royalty King Diamond.
Slayer came to play and they didn't disappoint as they thrashed through a strong setlist that covered the classics from across their storied career. It was a night to remember for all who were in attendance, just like it was in every city along their Final Campaign trek. Photographer Travis Shinn was in the pit for all the action at The Forum — Keep scrolling to see some of the best shots he captured from the night, and throw up some horns one last time for FUCKIN' SLAYER.
