Tool Reveal Opening Act for June European Tour: Heavy-Psych Band Fiend

Parisian outfit featuring former members of Ministry, Senser and more scores big gig

As Tool finish up their current spring tour with Los Angeles desert rockers All Souls, they've also announced their next hand-picked opener for an upcoming string of European shows: Parisian heavy-psych outfit Fiend.

Comprised of former members of Ministry, Senser and more, the group's most recent release Onerous (which dropped back in November 2013) boasts progressive licks, classic doom riffs and hallucinatory passages. Fiend cite Anton LaVey, Aleister Crowley, Heaven's Gate, and other occult entities as influential forces in their songwriting, giving a dark edge to their heavy jams — a winning mix that'll surely match the tastes of even the most esoteric Tool fans.

The tour kicks off in just a few weeks on June 2nd at Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena and winds around Europe for a full month.
