Nick Oliveri: "Rock & Roll Komodo Dragon" of Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age

Nick Oliveri is one of heavy music's great unsung wild men, a latter-day Lemmy Kilmister with an unfuckwithable legacy due to his work with Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, and an undying passion for music and living by his own rules — including performing naked behind a transparent bass. His lifelong friend and longtime bandmate Josh Homme describes him as a "rock & roll Komodo Dragon." We spent some serious time with Oliveri, a "collector of highs," tracing his amazing story from his Spicoli-like youth through his many bands and misadventures all the way to the here and now, with input from Homme, Brant Bjork and others.
