Randy Blythe on Lamb of God's S.O.D. Cover, Enduring Controversy Around Band

Lamb of God are gearing up to release a ripping new covers album, Legion: XX, under their previous moniker Burn the Priest — their one and only record under that name turns 20 this year. We're counting down to the May 18th release with a series of track-by-track videos with singer Randy Blythe, who breaks down each cover on the LP. Next up is LOG's blistering take on S.O.D.'s "Kill Yourself" — drummer Chris Adler's pick for the album. In the clip above, Blythe talks about how, when the band was called Burn the Priest, they used to open with "March of the S.O.D." and relays stories from S.O.D./Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian about the controversy around the crossover pioneers, including fans asking if they were racist.
