Watch Josh Graham's Trippy Sci-Fi Film Inspired by New IIVII LP

You'd be hard-pressed to find a man as well-versed in heavy-metal interdisciplinary arts as Josh Graham. Between his 12-year stint as Neurosis' resident visual artist (he parted ways with the spiritual-metal titans in 2012) and his time as Creative Director for Soundgarden, as well as his membership in Red Sparowes, Battle of Mice and A Storm of Light — all of which he co-founded — Graham's oeuvre proves deep, diverse and frequently deafening. These days, he's going it alone with IIVII (pronounced "Ivy"), a sci-fi-inspired, synth-driven solo endeavor launched in 2015. On the heels of IIVII's second album, Invasion (which is available here), Graham has unveiled a short film titled after and sound-tracked by the LP; it highlights the release's intergalactic ambition by way of found footage, eerie computer-generated visuals and abstract framing devices.
