Retiree Jenny Darren knows how to rock

68-year-old retiree Jenny Darren pulled a heavy-metal bait-and-switch on the latest episode of Britain's Got Talent, performing a powerful take on AC/DC's classic "Highway to Hell" — after ripping off her frumpy outfit to reveal leathery rocker garb, natch — and bringing both judges and audience members to their feet.

Darren is hardly a stranger to glam and guitars, as it turns out. In addition to fronting the hard-rock band Stoney End — who just so happened to open for AC/DC in 1977 — she released numerous solo albums throughout the late Seventies. Most notably, her song "Heartbreaker," off 1978's Queen of Fools LP, was re-released by Pat Benatar to major commercial success.
