As any modern deathcore fan can attest, Lorna Shore's "To the Hellfire" is one of the heaviest and most extreme songs in the genre's recent history. The New Jersey band's first track with new vocalist Will Ramos practically broke the metal internet last year thanks to Ramos' animalistic snorts and squeals during its final breakdown, and the shredding throughout the six-minute blackened deathcore banger is top-tier. In fact, it's so menacing that a professional hockey team just used it as their grand entrance music during a game.
The Detroit Red Wings skated onto the ice over the weekend with Lorna Shore's signature track bumping through the crowded arena. From the clip the band posted on their Twitter, it doesn't appear that the stadium's sound person chose a portion of the song with screaming, but hearing the dizzying guitarwork and epic black-metal strings emanating through a hockey rink full of unsuspecting sports fans is a beautiful sight. Watch it below.
