See Insane First Episode of Tenacious D's 'Post-Apocalypto' Animated Series

Tenacious D are back in a big way — the acoustic-metal duo have a new album, Post-Apocalypto, with Dave Grohl on drums, coming November 2nd, the band's Jack Black has been making the late-night rounds, and he and his partner in crime Kyle Gass recently dropped a hilarious Bob Ross–parody video. Today (September 28th), they offered up "Chapter 1: HOPE" of their animated YouTube series, which shares the same name as the forthcoming LP, and features illustrated frames all hand-drawn by Black. Episode one sees the two bandmates as they pull off a daredevil stunt to acclaim and hard cash, before the end of the world rains on their parade. Black and Gass then find themselves forced to navigate the post-apocalyptic world, along with the two-headed dog they befriend. Watch the insanity above.
