BRING ME THE HORIZON announce release date for long-delayed new album 'POST HUMAN: NeX Gen'

Get ready to ascend. After teasing their long-delayed POST HUMAN: NeX Gen album earlier in the year with a heavy dose of "Kool-Aid," U.K. favorites Bring Me the Horizon have officially revealed that the project will arrive in full tomorrow, May 24th.

The announcement came this morning over socials, with a teaser trailer confirming that the second installment of the outfit's POST HUMAN series indeed releases at midnight.

That trailer likewise teases a few tangents that may be explored across the album. It begins above ground in an apocalyptic wasteland, but soon goes underground, where a devilish piano player wanders over to some kind of insidious lab experiment. You can see how the scene plays out below.

The trailer also ends with a runic logo and a cult-ish invitation: "THE CHURCH OF GENXSIS welcomes you to a night in YOUTOPIA via NEX GEN there is a home beyond your bones."

Last January, the band's "Kool-Aid" single marked their first new material since the departure of longtime keyboardist-producer Jordan Fish in 2023. At the time, vocalist Oli Sykes noted on Instagram that the group had "been [on] a ruff ride recently."

NeX Gen was initially set for a fall 2023 release. It follows 2020's POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR.
