Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O'Brien is out of jail as of last Friday (December 14th) after posting a $50,000 surety bond, as noted in his Hillsborough County, Florida, arrest report. Currently he holds charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.

This is the latest chapter in a strange course of events which started last Monday, December 10th, when O'Brien allegedly fled from a fire in his Northdale, Florida, home. When firefighters arrived on the scene they discovered "military-style" flamethrowers and ammunition within the house, which made the fire more difficult to extinguish.

Police apprehended O'Brien at a nearby neighbor's house, where he allegedly broke in and charged at one of the officers with a knife. Police subsequently tasered O'Brien and brought him into custody.

Deana Mazurkiewicz, wife of Cannibal Corpse drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, launched a crowdfunding campaign in support for the things he lost in the house fire. Currently it has raised over $18,000. Pat O'Brien and Cannibal Corpse have yet to comment on this incident.
