Hear CODE ORANGE's Reba Meyers take lead vocals on trip-hoppy new song "Mirror"

Darkly alluring single from forthcoming album 'The Above'

Revolver has teamed with Code Orange for an exclusive vinyl variant of The Above. Limited to 350. Order yours

If you thought Revolver cover stars Code Orange's last single — the gigantic grunge anthem, "Take Shape," featuring Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan — was an unexpected swerve, just wait until you hear "Mirror."

The Pittsburgh band's latest offering from their forthcoming album, The Above, is one of the biggest left turns they've ever taken; a moody, elastic trip-hop track with mournful strings, delicate piano and a blowout vocal performance from Reba Meyers that's by far the most tuneful hook Code Orange have ever delivered.

It's a totally fresh direction for the hardcore bruisers, and we're more than here for it. Check out the playful, quixotic, stop-motion music video above via YouTube.

"This song has a special place in my heart," Meyers commented. "To me, it's the climax of this style of my writing in this band thus far. Take a look in the mirror, are you bored?"

The Above is due out September 29th via Blue Grape Music, and you can pre-order Revolver's exclusive colored vinyl variant — plus the new Fall Issue with Code Orange on the cover — from our shop.
