Fred Durst knows how to have a good laugh at his own musical legacy. Whether he's donning increasingly absurd outfits during Limp Bizkit shows or titling his band's latest album Still Sucks (as in, Limp Bizkit Still Sucks), Durst is fully aware of how much of a meme he's become, and he honestly seems to be loving it.
Take his latest Instagram post, for example. The nu-metal rascal shared someone's hysterical TikTok mashup of Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" and Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust," giving his approval to an amazingly goofy spin on his band's iconic fuck-shit-up anthem.
Like all great mashups, this one is simple and effective. All of the instrumentation from "Break Stuff" is cut out, leaving just the vocals being rapped over the Queen song's historic bassline. Visually, it's just the "Break Stuff" music video playing, which is particularly funny to watch while your brain can't help but associate the song with Freddie Mercury and Co. — a completely different band than Limp Bizkit.
