Hear SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR riff hard on new solo song "Talk Sick"

A punky third single from 'CMF2'

Get Corey Taylor's new solo album, CMF2, on vinyl and CD at Revolver's shop.

Corey Taylor's new solo album, CMF2, is less than a month away from release, and today (August 16th) the Slipknot frontman has unveiled another new single to keep fans tied over.

Previously, we heard the mid-tempo rock song "Beyond" and the much heavier, Slipknot-ier "Post Traumatic Blues," and this new joint "Talk Sick" falls somewhere between the energy of those two songs.

It's got a bluesy, Southern-fried main riff, features a rippin' solo, and contains punky — yet still catchy — vocals from Taylor. Listen above via YouTube.

"That sick guitar at the beginning, I played that through a speaker about the size of a coffee cup," Taylor said of "Talk Sick" in a press release. "It made it sound violent; you feel like you're being stung by bees who are playing along to the Sex Pistols.

"There's an element of spiritual regurgitation, trying to purge yourself of demons that have been clinging to you because of prior relationships, romantic or otherwise. You realize those people bring a certain asshole side out of you that you don't necessarily want in your life. It's about trying to lance that boil and get that sickness out of you."

Taylor's upcoming solo album, CMF2 — the follow-up to 2020's CMFT — is due out September 15th via the singer's own label imprint, Decibel Cooper Recordings. You can pre-order it on CD and vinyl — including limited-edition color vinyl — here.
