Last year, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian teased that he had not one, but two new solo EP's on the docket for 2024. Now, just two days after playing his first SOAD show in a year, Tankian has announced one of those bad boys.

The alt-metal singer has unveiled that his next solo project will be an EP called Foundations, and its first single "A.F. Day" is out May 17th Today (April 29th), Tankian has shared a preview of the track, which sounds heavy and skronky as hell.

"Today is not just any other Monday," Tankian wrote on social media. "Today is the day I get to give you a sneak peak at some new music.

"With great delight I present you with a snippet from 'A.F. Day,' the first track from my upcoming solo EP titled Foundations. The full track and video will drop May 17th digitally everywhere via Gibson Records!"

Foundations will be Tankian's first rock-based solo project since his 2022 Perplex Cities EP. Stay tuned for more details.
