MIKE'S DEAD debuts "Bite Down" video, announces 'Rebirth' EP

Showcasing "heavier, more metal-leading sound"

Over the course of 2023, genre-busting artist Mike's Dead has been shifting toward a heavier sound, starting with February's industrialized cover of Garbage's "#1 Crush." More recent singles have included "Welcome to Hell," featuring a roaring guest shot from Emmure vocalist Frankie Palmeri.

Now, to cement his more metallic approach, Mike's Dead has announced a new EP, fittingly titled Rebirth. The six-track record includes "Welcome to Hell," as well as "Bite Down," the frenetic music video for which you can view above.

Due out November 30th via Hopeless Records, the EP will be celebrated with two release shows: December 14th at Losers 812 in Louisville, Kentucky, and December 15th at Basement in Columbus, Ohio, presented by Louder Than Life and Sonic Temple, respectively.

"The Rebirth EP marks a super pivotal moment for myself and Mike's Dead, as it signifies and embraces this heavier, more metal-leading sound," Mike's Dead commented. "Starting in the underground lane, I think it's super important to not only embrace your roots, but embrace the growth in your music and how it's changed. The Rebirth EP follows the Revenge EP from 2021, and really kicks into the rock space while still properly blending my original underground sound.

"I'm excited to share this with the world as this seems to be the new benchmark for team Dead from both a sonic and writing perspective. Rolling out some of these singles has gotten the attention of a lot of industry folk, and I hope this project shows people that Mike's Dead is truly the next face of industrial."
