Power-metal stalwarts got wet and wild on 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise

DragonForce guitar hero Herman Li has a history of shredding underwater while on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. The power-metal virtuoso first played an underwater solo — holding his breath — on the 2015 edition of the cruise, and then improved on the stunt in 2018 by soloing while snorkeling. This year, he and bassist Alicia Vigil took things to a whole new level.

The two bandmates not only played underwater while performing DragonForce's signature anthem "Through the Fire and Flames" but they also did so while riding down the cruise's water slide and partying with fans in the hot tub! Watch the video above to see the insane stunt, which went down during 70,000 Tons of Metal's early 2013 trip from Miami, Florida, to Bimini, Bahamas, and back.
