See INCUBUS' BRANDON BOYD join NIGHT VERSES in new "Glitching Prisms" video

Prog-metal collab gets trippy visual

Last month, Night Verses debuted "Glitching Prisms" featuring Incubus' Brandon Boyd, the lead single off the second part of the mostly instrumental prog-metal trio's double album Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night. Today, the group unveiled the song's music video, which also features Boyd and echoes the track's dreamy, trippy vibe.

Speaking on "Glitching Prisms," Night Verses commented in a joint statement: "Brandon has such an undeniably unique approach to his instrument. When collaborating with artists of his nature, you often expect to have to bend to their undeniable strengths to make it work. However when writing 'Glitching Prisms' with him, his take on the song was instantly the missing piece. Everything he did stepped up the composition, and at the same time was so different from what we initially imagined. I don't think any of us could be happier with how it turned out."

Part one of Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night, released in September, includes a major guest contributor in TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor, who can be heard on the song "Séance." Part two is even more star-studded, featuring — in addition to Boyd — Circa Survive and L.S. Dunes singer Anthony Greene and one-man industrial-metal unit Author & Punisher.

Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night: Part 2 is due out March 15th via Equal Vision.
