Nu-metal veterans on the comeback trail

Earlier this year, Revolver readers voted Taproot among the top 5 nu-metal contenders who should have been bigger back in the genre's heyday. The Michigan group — who are best known for the 2002 single "Poem" (and possibly for the profanity-laced voicemail that an irate Fred Durst left them after they decided not to sign with his label imprint, Flawless) — are on the comeback trail, with a reunion album, SC\SSRS, coming this fall.

On Friday, August 4th, Taproot played their first show in six years, at the Crafthouse Stage & Grill in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and of course, they had to cap off their set with their signature song.

Watch fan-filmed footage of the performance, which saw much of the crowd joining the band onstage, above.

SC\SSRS is due out September 29th.
