Sharon Osbourne Details Ozzy's "Bad Accident" That Dislodged Metal Rods in Body

Singer recently postponed all 2019 performances after pneumonia-related fall

The Prince of Fucking Darkness can't catch a fucking break. The singer recently announced that he needed to cancel all 2019 performances while he recovered from an injury sustained while dealing with pneumonia.

On her daytime show The Talk, Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne shared more details about the latest in a series of medical traumas for the singer, this time stemming from a fall at home "in the middle of the night" which dislodged metal rods in his body that were in place to help him heal after a 2003 ATV accident.

"I don't know where to begin and I have to make this quick," Sharon says, nervously wringing her hands. After outlining the series of illnesses plaguing her husband from bronchitis to pneumonia, she continues, "He came out of hospital, and he had a bad accident at home. He fell."

After detailing the complications suffered after the incident, she remains positive about her husband's future, telling the audience, "He's good, he's fine, he's great."

Her characteristic positivity fades just a bit, and while holding back tears, Sharon relays the news that because of the accumulated injuries, Ozzy was forced to cancel all 2019 dates. "He just feels terrible," she relays. "He says it's the only thing he's ever done right in his life, is performing." Her co-hosts comfort her as she explains her desire to keep details of Ozzy's injuries under wraps. The show's founder Sara Gilbert affirms to Sharon, "Now he'll have the time to get better and he'll be back out there in 2020."

Ozzy said last week in a statement, "I can't believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now." Ever the dedicated showman, he confirmed, "I will fully recover ... I will finish my tour ... I will be back!"
