Corey Taylor isn't very impressed by the artist formerly known as Kanye West's decision to exclusively release his new album Donda 2 on his $200 Stem Player device. In a new interview with the U.K. publication, Metro, the Slipknot frontman blasted the rapper-producer, who recently changed his name to Ye, for making his music so difficult to access, calling him a "fucking moron" and mentally "off the fucking property."

Last month, Ye made the sixteen songs from his 11th studio album available only to owners of his Stem Player gadget, which is essentially a glorified MP3 player that allows users to remix tracks in addition to listening to them. For now, the device is the only place that listeners can legally hear Ye's new record, and Taylor sees that strategy as illegitimate and unfair to his own fans.

"It's like releasing all the parts for a car and sending them to people's houses and going, 'there, you got a free car, now you've got to figure out how to build the goddamn thing,'" Taylor told Metro while speaking about Ye's rollout. "You're assuming that the audience has the access and same technology that you have but you're a fucking moron for doing that."

"Are you serious? It doesn't work that way. The thinking that that's a smart thing to do just shows you how convoluted and off the fucking property Kanye West really is."

"When you've got that much money and that much people around you telling you exactly what you want to hear," Taylor added, "your concept of reality just goes right out the fucking window."
