We're just about a month out from Amon Amarth's highly-anticipated 12th album, the Great Heathen Army, and today (July 7th) they're giving us an idea of what that giant battalion of militant infidels might sound like. The Viking metal lords have unveiled the title-track from the LP, and it's easily the heaviest and grooviest cut we've heard from the album so far. The kind of song that makes you feel like you can snatch lightning bolts out of the sky and crack them over your thighs.
It also comes paired with a fittingly epic music video, which depicts two young Norse mythology fans playing an Amon Amarth board game while the band act out the battle scenes in real life. Watch and listen above via YouTube.
