The life and legend of Motörhead icon Lemmy Kilmister is being celebrated by award-winning publisher Z2 in a new graphic novel, aptly titled No Remorse: The Illustrated True Stories of Lemmy Kilmister and Motörhead.
The 176-page volume opens with a foreword by Dave Grohl and closes with an afterword by Ozzy Osbourne; in between, 25 stories — told by everyone from Lars Ulrich and Dave Navarro to Triple H and Neil Gaiman to Lemmy's former bandmates Phil Campbell, Mikkey Dee and Slim Jim Phantom — are brought to life by 25 acclaimed illustrators.
"Fuck Elvis and Keith Richards, Lemmy's the king of rock 'n' roll," Grohl writes in his foreword. "A living, breathing, drinking, snorting fucking legend. No one else comes close."
Like all Z2 collaborations, No Remorse will be available in an array of highly-collectible editions, including a super-limited package that includes a framed original 2012 Motörhead tour laminate. The "No Remorse" Editions of the book will come with an exclusive white vinyl variant of the titular double LP, No Remorse, a poster triptych set by renown designer Hydro74 and a three-card collectors set presented in a custom frame featuring the art of the iconic thrash-metal painter Ed Repka (Megadeth, Super7).
All collector editions will include the oversized deluxe volume of the No Remorse book packaged in a metallic-foil-embossed slipcase, with diecuts that reveal the holographic coating on Lemmy's aviator specs on the cover.
