DEMI LOVATO introduced NITA STRAUSS to this insane deathcore band

Say what you will about her actual music, but Demi Lovato is one of the realest metalheads in the mainstream. For years, the former Disney-popstar-turned-gothy-pop-punker has openly shared her affinity for genuinely heavy music. Some of her favorite artists as a teen were Job For a Cowboy, Lamb of God and deathcore-era Bring Me the Horizon, and she once revealed that she saw Norwegian black-metal lords Dimmu Borgir and moshed so hard that she lost a shoe!

Therefore, it's not surprising to learn that Lovato is a fan of modern deathcore destroyers Bodysnatcher, but it's super fucking cool that she was able to turn her pal and onetime bandmate Nita Strauss onto them.

In a recent Instagram story, Strauss — the acclaimed super-shredder who's best known as Alice Cooper's lead guitarist — posted a screenshot of her listening to the Bodysnatcher track "Take Me to Hell," a breakdown-filled chug-fest that's way heavier than the average starter-kit metal band like Metallica or Linkin Park. This is seriously heavy stuff, and in her caption, Strauss wrote that Lovato was the one who introduced her to the song.

"This RIIIIFFFFFFF," Strauss wrote alongside a few complimentary emojis. So yeah, clearly Lovato and Strauss, despite how popular they are, continue to jam out to violent mosh music.

See the Instagram post below and then take a listen to Bodysnatcher's "Take Me to Hell." That is, if you have the courage to hang with Lovato's playlist songs.
