He would die for you

Back in February, Mike's Dead premiered his gritty, industrialized cover of Garbage's "#1 Crush," showcasing another side to his shape-shifting sound, which has incorporated rap, punk, nu-metal and more. Today (March 16th), he's unveiled the single's unnerving music video, a stark, gnarly clip that captures Mike's Dead singing the song in his birthday suit, chained up in a squatting position, with some dark substance (mud? blood? ink?) smeared around his mouth like The Joker's smile. It's an unnerving watch — check it out above.

"I think early Garbage, it's like early [Nine Inch] Nails. It's so different," Mike's Dead told us of the cover. "It's like, before you inevitably have to start making commercial music, you kind of make really whatever you want. And I think at that early stage of a band [when] they're really experimenting more, that's where you get these really sick songs …" Amen.
