South African deathcore band Vulvodynia have found a new vocalist after their former frontman Duncan Bentley allegedly tried to kill the band's drummer. Lwandile Prusent, who originally joined Vulvodynia as a guitarist, has stepped up to lead the group behind the mic.

A gruesome social media post from Vulvodynia made the rounds earlier this year, showing the bloody aftermath of the alleged confrontation between Bentley and drummer Thomas Hughes. "He threatened and tried to kill our drummer Tom," Vulvodynia wrote.

"Tom ended in hospital and sustained various injuries including a badly broken nose. This is also not the first time he's attacked Tom and displayed this type of violence."

Duncan Bentley has denied that he "tried to kill" Hughes. The post can be seen at the bottom of this post, but be warned, as the attached images are graphic.

Vulvodynia's post received thousands of comments and was shared over four thousand times on Facebook alone, delivering the band's story to countless social media users. Thankfully, the band didn't need to go far to find an awesome new vocalist.

"Hey everyone, so i've become the new vocalist of Vulvo, and it's been a challenging transition, but I don't plan on letting the people who support us down," Prusent announced. "I am still the guitar player of this band, and always will be. It just might take a while before you see me with one on stage again. Peace and love ❤"
